We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. Sorry for my poor english but... I'm french
To obtain that effect you need a picture with minimum 3 different exposures (for exemple -1IL/0IL/+1IL) You can use a RAW picture that you'll develop (?) with these 3 values. You can do the same thing with 5 different exposures (-2IL/-1IL/0IL/+1IL/+2IL)
After that you load the 3 different pictures in "Photomatix Pro". That's the "HDR" effect.
I think you can find some very good tutorials on the web better explained that my english allow me to do
